Bu gençler kusursuz, yakışıklı, her konuda bilge, bilgili, öğrenmeye yetenekli, sarayda görev almaya uygun nitelikte kişiler olmalıydı. Y Daniel propuso en su corazón de no contaminarse en la ración de la comida del rey, ni en el vino de su beber: pidió por tanto al príncipe de los eunucos de no contaminarse.Daniel résolut de ne pas se souiller par les mets du roi et par le vin dont le roi buvait, et il pria le chef des eunuques de ne pas l'obliger à se souiller.E Daniel propôs no seu coração não se contaminar com a porção das iguarias do rei, nem com o vinho que ele bebia; portanto pediu ao chefe dos eunucos que lhe permitisse não se contaminar.Даниил положил в сердце своем не оскверняться яствами со стола царского и вином, какое пьет царь, и потому просил начальника евнухов о том, чтобы не оскверняться ему.Aber Daniel setzte sich vor in seinem Herzen, daß er sich mit des Königs Speise und mit dem Wein, den er selbst trank, nicht verunreinigen wollte, und bat den obersten Kämmerer, daß er sich nicht müßte verunreinigen.但 以 理 卻 立 志 、 不 以 王 的 膳 、 和 王 所 飲 的 酒 、 玷 污 自 己 、 所 以 求 太 監 長 容 他 不 玷 污 自 己 。Daniel dinsel açıdan kendini kirletmemek için kralın onlara ayırdığı yemeklerden yemeyi de şaraptan içmeyi de istemedi. So you would endanger my head with the king."فقال رئيس الخصيان لدانيال اني اخاف سيدي الملك الذي عيّن طعامكم وشرابكم. فلماذا يرى وجوهكم اهزل من الفتيان الذين من جيلكم فتديّنون راسي للملك.
