Daher heißt er Edom.以 掃 對 雅 各 說 、 我 累 昏 了 、 求 你 把 這 紅 湯 給 我 喝 ． 因 此 以 掃 又 叫 以 東 。 〔 以 東 就 是 紅 的 意 思 〕Yakupa, ‹‹Lütfen şu kızıl çorbadan biraz ver de içeyim. Aç ve bitkinim›› dedi. Entonces dijo Esaú: He aquí yo me voy á morir; ¿para qué, pues, me servirá la primogenitura?Ésaü répondit: Voici, je m'en vais mourir; à quoi me sert ce droit d'aînesse?E disse Esaú: Eis que estou a ponto de morrer; para que me servirá a primogenitura?Исав сказал: вот, я умираю, что мне в этом первородстве?Esau antwortete: Siehe, ich muß doch sterben; was soll mir denn die Erstgeburt?以 掃 說 、 我 將 要 死 、 這 長 子 的 名 分 於 我 有 甚 麼 益 處 呢 。Esav, ‹‹Baksana, açlıktan ölmek üzereyim›› dedi, ‹‹İlk oğulluk hakkının bana ne yararı var?››以 扫 说 ： 我 将 要 死 ， 这 长 子 的 名 分 于 我 冇 甚 么 益 处 呢 ？And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?And Esau said, Behold, I am about to die. And what profit shall the birthright do to me?And Esau saith, `Lo, I am going to die, and what is this to me -- birthright?`And Esau said: 'Behold, I am at the point to die; and what profit shall the birthright do to me?'Esau said, "Behold, I am about to die. What good is the birthright to me?"And Esau said, Behold, I am going to die, and of what use can the birthright be to me?Esau said, "I am about to die; of what use is a birthright to me?"فقال عيسو ها انا ماض الى الموت. فلماذا لي بكورية.

Esav ant içerek ilk oğulluk hakkını Yakupa sattı.雅 各 说 ： 你 今 日 对 我 起 誓 罢 。 以 扫 就 对 他 起 了 誓 ， 把 长 子 的 名 分 卖 给 雅 各 。And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he swore to him: and he sold his birthright to Jacob.And Jacob said, Swear to me first. And he sware unto him. Also verachtete Esau seine Erstgeburt.於 是 雅 各 將 餅 和 紅 豆 湯 給 了 以 掃 、 以 掃 喫 了 喝 了 、 便 起 來 走 了 ． 這 就 是 以 掃 輕 看 了 他 長 子 的 名 分 。Yakup Esav'a ekmekle mercimek çorbası verdi.
